With the completion of a series of key milestones, such as the finishing of the 70-meter-high cold box structure for the air separation unit, the completion of the framework structure for coal slurry preparation, the completion of the cooling tower structure, the arrival of the gasification furnace equipment, the lifting and installation of the first large-scale equipment in the gasification plant area, the completion of the control room structure, and the completion of the overall road network, on March 18th, the Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Project’s gasification energy-saving technology upgrade project officially entered the installation and construction phase. The gasification section of the Chongqing Xiangyu Gasification Energy-Saving Technology Upgrade Project utilizes the Jinhua Furnace 3.0 gasification technology (slurry coal + water wall + radiant waste boiler + quenching process). It has a diameter of 3.8 meters, a total height of 27.4 meters, and a total weight of 420 tons. The general contracting project for the energy-saving technology upgrade of Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Gasification is located in Jiulongyuan, Wanzhou Economic Development Zone, Chongqing. The scale of the construction includes a 300,000 tons per year ammonia synthesis plant, an air separation unit, a gasification unit, a purification unit, as well as the associated utility systems (excluding boilers) and auxiliary facilities. Wuhuan Project took on the general contracting of the Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Gasification Energy-Saving Technology Upgrade Project under the EPCC model. On March 1, 2021, the project’s signing ceremony and kick-off meeting were held at Wuhuan Project. The value of the winning contract is approximately 1.056 billion yuan. Shiliu Hua Jian won the contract for the construction of this project, with a contract value of around 150 million and a construction period of 16 months. The construction scope includes the building works and installation works for supporting facilities such as gasification units, shift conversion units, air separation units, purification units, ammonia synthesis units, circulating water stations, power distribution rooms, pressure pump rooms, and pipe galleries.
