Since 2020, thanks to the diligent efforts of the company’s staff in carrying out desulfurization tasks and the continuous improvement of the related processes, it has been possible to ensure that the 5 boilers owned by Huajin Group meet emission standards. Starting in 2017, it spent three years upgrading and building two new desulfurization units to fully meet the emission limits imposed in Liaoning Province since November 2020. Fully leverage the potential of the equipment to continuously optimize the operation of the desulfurization unit. In response to the problems arising from the operation of the existing desulfurization units, technical personnel carefully analyzed the operating conditions of these units and conducted repeated tests on various process operations. They developed an \"Operation Plan for Special Emission Limits for Flue Gas\" as well as procedures for controlling sulfur dioxide levels. By adjusting the pH range of the absorption solution and modifying the methods of discharging the liquid, they were able to address issues such as salt accumulation in front of the inlet valves of the mixing pumps and discharge pumps, which led to equipment failure; high pH levels of the washing liquid in Unit 3 resulting in non-crystallization of sulfuric acid slurry; and blockages caused by salt accumulation in the discharge pipelines. By overcoming the constraints imposed by the original design standards, they ensured that pollutants such as sulfur dioxide were discharged within specified limits. The company has also actively explored the limits of operational precision, narrowing the range of parameter control. By performing precise adjustments to the amount of spray applied to the absorption layer as well as the volume of oxidizing air, it has managed to reduce the use of ammonia-based absorbents. This approach not only helped to resolve the issue of \"flue gas trailing\" but also enabled the plant to save energy and reduce consumption. At the same time, make full use of the role of performance-based salaries as a guiding mechanism to control the range of sulfur dioxide emission targets through positive incentives, reward teams based on their performance scores, and enhance the precise operation practices of these teams ; Hold those who are not meticulous in their work accountable through negative incentives to ensure that there are no excessive emissions. To address abnormal operating conditions, the company prepared emergency response plans and emergency action cards during the same period. Establish innovation studios to overcome challenges and ensure the long-term stable operation of the installations. The innovation studio, established by the company with young key employees from the desulfurization workshop as its core members, actively participated in the \"three inspections and four determinations\" processes during the design and handover of new desulfurization installations. It developed corresponding solutions to various problems, proposing the addition of fillers in the first-stage water washing process within the desulfurization tower as well as the use of secondary pneumatic units, in order to improve the removal rate of solid particles, reduce ammonia emissions, and enhance the efficiency of desulfurization. During routine maintenance and major overhauls, efforts are made to prevent equipment corrosion and wear; composite ceramic materials are used for anti-corrosion protection at the suction inlets of various pumps inside the tower, thereby addressing the problem of leaks in the tower walls caused by the easy damage of the original glass flake anti-corrosion coating ; By installing guard plates on the main stirring pipeline inside the tower and adjusting the liquid level control parameters, issues such as damage to the stirring pipes caused by salt accumulation on the walls of the desulfurization tower were avoided. Over the past few years, the innovation studio has resolved more than a dozen various problems in the desulfurization industry. Various forms of training are carried out to significantly enhance employees’ ability to perform their duties. The company carries out a wide range of training activities in the form of inspections and competitions, safety responsibility competitions for individual units and teams, as well as competitions to ensure compliance with process standards, by combining theory with practical training and individual efforts with team work, thereby boosting the enthusiasm of operators to learn ; Using the employee lecture hall as a platform, it promotes horizontal exchanges on desulfurization technologies, thereby helping to improve the desulfurization skills of workshop employees as a whole ; It actively promotes the typical experiences of innovation studios in overcoming production bottlenecks, boosts the enthusiasm of employees for learning, and stimulates their spirit of innovation and creation, thereby providing a continuous source of talent to further improve desulfurization efforts in the facilities. The company has also taken various measures to improve its operational efficiency; it has connected the existing 3 desulfurization units together via flue ducts so that they can serve as backups for one another, thereby saving 30 million yuan in costs associated with building additional backup units ; By optimizing operations, the efficiency of the 3 desulfurization units was significantly improved; the number of maintenance tasks in 2021 was 5 less than in 2020, 4,200 tons of liquid sulfuric acid were saved, resulting in cost savings of nearly 2 million yuan.
