On April 7, the last section of the drying exhaust gas washing tower for the nitro-sulfur fertilizer production unit at Sinochem Fuling was lifted into place and assembled and welded; thus, all 12 washing towers in the four units of the phosphorus compound fertilizer plant were successfully installed. The four washing systems in the phosphate compound fertilizer plant were all designed by Jianghan Design Institute. Among them, the final washing tower of the new chlorinated fertilizer production unit is the largest among the 12 washing towers in terms of size; its height is approximately 41.4 meters, its maximum diameter is about 6.5 meters, its volume is around 988 cubic meters, and it can handle up to 285,000 cubic meters of exhaust gas per hour. This scrubber uses acidic circulating water for washing, and features two-stage washing with multiple nozzles to further enhance the cleaning effect and ensure that the exhaust gases meet **emission standards.
