The first large-scale equipment for the gasification section of the Xifenghang No. 2 Gasification System environmental improvement project has arrived. This equipment is the first large-scale unit in the gasification section, marking another important step forward in the project’s development. It is understood that in order to accelerate the delivery of equipment, the company’s project team, together with the equipment manufacturers, overcame the impacts brought about by the pandemic by establishing a daily communication mechanism, coordinating the delivery schedules for all equipment along the line, and arranging for the manufacturers to ship the equipment in batches. At the same time, the project team strengthened organizational optimization, carrying out preparations such as equipment foundation treatment and inspection in accordance with regulatory requirements well in advance. It established effective communication with the lifting units, reasonably planned the locations for unloading the equipment and setting up the lifting stations, and cleared roads in advance to ensure that the equipment could be unloaded promptly. It is reported that the environmental protection comprehensive improvement project for Xi Fengtai Company’s No. 2 gasification system was carried out as an upgrade in response to the \"2019 Action Plan for Winning the Battle to Protect the Blue Skies in Shanxi Province\" and other relevant local regulations. It upgrades the gasification process while maintaining the original scale and production capacity; the existing 10 φ2650 intermittent gas generation furnaces are replaced with 5 φ3600 pure-oxygen continuous gasification furnaces, along with a 16,000 Nm3/h cryogenic air separation unit. The subsequent purification, compression, synthesis units, auxiliary production facilities, and utility systems are adapted using the existing infrastructure. The production capacity remains unchanged after the upgrade, offering the company effective ways to reduce production costs, improve environmental management, and optimize its industrial structure.
