On May 11, the methanol synthesis tower of the methanol synthesis unit in the Shanxi Junjie coking oven gas comprehensive utilization project was successfully installed. The methanol synthesis tower is the core equipment of this plant, as well as the heaviest equipment in the entire facility. The methanol synthesis tower has a diameter of 4 meters, a height of 15.87 meters, and a net weight of 199.21 tons. The lifting is carried out using a 400-ton crawler crane as the main lift device and a 150-ton crawler crane for assisting with the lifting. This lifting task is a major control milestone for the entire project. Before the lifting operation, the project team developed a detailed lifting plan and provided safety and technical instructions to the personnel involved in the lifting work. All the workers on the project overcame various challenges such as tight deadlines and limited space for lifting, and completed the lifting task safely and efficiently, thus marking the beginning of the installation of large-scale equipment for the project.
