Clicks: 10. “There is a liquid level in the synthetic methanol separator!” ”At 11:58 on May 26th, as the excited and urgent voices of the operators spread through the control room, the methanol level indicator changed from red to green and continued to rise, signaling the successful completion of the connection work and the emergency repairs related to methanol in Shaanxi Coking Chemical’s gas comprehensive utilization project. This maintenance work began at 20:00 on May 13th. According to the maintenance plan, the air separation unit, which is a key system, will be shut down for maintenance for only three and a half days, during which 22 maintenance tasks need to be completed. To ensure the smooth progress of the maintenance work, company leadership coordinated and supervised operations at the site; everyone worked together to create the necessary conditions and gain time to complete the maintenance tasks. It is reported that a total of 73 potential hazards were eliminated during this maintenance work, and 6 innovations were implemented as part of the repair process. At 13:00 on May 22, the air separation system in that workshop was successfully started. By 12:00 on May 26, the desulfurization process was completed successfully; hydrogen distribution took place at 6:56, oxygen distribution at 9:56, and gas introduction for synthesis was successful at 11:28. All systems were connected seamlessly once they were brought online, and the entire process was completed in 12 days and 15 hours, 24 hours and 32 minutes ahead of schedule, allowing methanol to be produced successfully.
