The signing of the agreement not only secured additional shipping capacity for the company’s urea products, but also reduced the freight cost per ton of urea by around 20 yuan. Faced with the severe situation regarding epidemic prevention and control, Jinxiang Company did not wait or rely on others; instead, it actively strengthened communication with the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau, paying close attention to processes such as railway shipments and loading, in order to provide the necessary transportation capacity to fulfill contracts involving high prices for its products, thus ensuring low inventory levels of those products. At the same time, taking advantage of the policy benefits related to reduced railway freight rates, and by adopting a transportation method that involves transporting urea by road over short distances and then by rail, thereby reducing the reliance on long-distance road transport and shortening the turnaround time, multiple meetings were held with the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau and the Jiaozuo Railway Station to discuss preferential railway freight rates, in order to further reduce logistics costs.
