As the largest industrial station in the northwest, Ningdongbei Station plays a crucial role in ensuring a stable supply of coal for the coal chemical industry park operated by Ningxia Coal Industry Company. Once the renovation project of the Ningdongbei station is put into use, it will enable Ningxia Coal Industry Company to reduce the distance that coal sourced from Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi needs to be transported over in order to reach the coal blending center at the coal chemical industry base by 28 kilometers. This results in a reduction of 3.97 yuan in the transportation cost per ton of coal, thereby improving transportation efficiency and reducing costs. It also helps to ensure an adequate supply of coal for the company’s chemical projects, playing a positive role in promoting local economic development. This renovation project faces various challenges and difficulties, including the close integration of project construction and production, high risks related to safety management, numerous coordination points, and the fact that the construction period coincides with a peak period in coal supply needs. From the approval of the project to its construction, Ningxia Coal Industry Company held numerous special meetings regarding this project to discuss and finalize the implementation plan.
