On July 5, the Chemical Machinery Company and Hubei Three Gorges Laboratory signed such an agreement in Xiaoting District, Yichang. Following the signing of the agreement, the two parties held a friendly discussion, introduced their respective basic situations, and had thorough exchanges on the specific details of future cooperation. The Hubei Three Gorges Laboratory was approved for establishment by the people’s government of Hubei Province. Aiming at the dual goals of \"carbon neutrality\" and \"reaching carbon peak\", it is rooted in the modern chemical industry and focuses on the forefront of global chemical development, major industry needs, as well as the key areas of the national economy. Its mission is to enhance the industry’s capacity for original innovation and to overcome key technical barriers in its development. It concentrates on six research areas: key chemicals for microelectronics, high-end phosphorus-based chemicals, key materials for new energy, silicon-based basic chemicals, improvements in green chemical processes, as well as efficient chemical equipment and intelligent control systems. The laboratory is dedicated to conducting fundamental research, applied basic research, and the development of key core technologies for industrial application, with the goal of fostering the growth of a trillion-yuan-scale modern chemical industry cluster in Hubei Province and strengthening the core competitiveness of China’s modern chemical industry. The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement marks the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two parties in the field of research, development, manufacturing, and installation of chemical equipment. Going forward, the two sides will further deepen their cooperation in areas such as equipment upgrading, high-standard manufacturing and installation of equipment, and industrial transformation and upgrading, in order to contribute to the safe and high-quality development of the modern chemical industry.
