The Olefins Center of Yulin Energy Chemicals takes multiple measures to ensure the safe and stable operation of Line 2 of the DMTO unit. Author/Source: Weiyu Energy Chemicals. Date: 2022-07-08. Clicks: 7. Since Line 2 of the DMTO unit at the Olefins Center of Yulin Energy Chemicals was put back into operation after maintenance on June 1, 2021, the center has implemented various measures to ensure its safe and stable operation. As of July 7, the unit had been operating steadily for 403 days, producing a total of 825,300 tons of olefins during that period. It is understood that blockages in the water system are a prominent issue affecting the stable operation of Line 2 of the DMTO unit. To address this “problem,” olefin centers were used as targeted “treatments,” effectively improving the operational efficiency of the device. The plant technicians summarized their operational experience and, by referring to the typical practices of similar domestic plants, accurately assessed the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchange equipment. By predicting the pressure difference in the water washing tower in advance and organizing cleaning operations, they effectively prevented fluctuations in this pressure difference. Furthermore, this device also effectively alleviates blockages in wash towers and heat exchangers through chemical treatment methods. The plant operators drew on similar experiences, thoroughly learned from the advanced operating practices of similar units, and continuously optimized process adjustments, thereby reducing blockages in the water washing system. The person in charge of the olefin unit stated that the unit will adhere to the general principle of making progress while maintaining stability, focus on the annual production targets, strengthen the coordination and management of production processes, prioritize meticulous safety measures, and maximize the operational potential of the facilities in order to ensure the achievement of the annual production goals for both types of olefins. At the same time, efforts will continue to be made to improve the yield of these olefins and reduce overall energy consumption, so as to contribute more to the company’s goal of stable growth.
