How can a heater with 120 kilowatts of power, 380V voltage, and a delta connection generate a current of 660A? According to the calculations, the line current is 182A. It can be changed to a star connection, with the phase current also being 182A.
It makes no sense to change the wiring to a star configuration for electric heating, right? There’s already the starting current of the motor that can cause the equipment to trip; I don’t understand why it’s necessary to make such a change. Please advise
