Questions regarding the selection between KVVR cables and RVV cables. Shouldn’t the switch feedback signals of some valves on-site, along with other status signals, all be transmitted using KVVR wires? Why is RVV wire being used everywhere on-site? Are there no significant differences in the use of these two types of wires?
One control wire and one power wire, I guess
The KVVR label indicates the cable number; it is generally used for control wires; RVV color coding (yellow, green, red, blue, yellow, white, etc.), generally used for power cables.
Why aren’t the instruments equipped with computer shielding cables? Isn’t DJYPVP great?
It’s not an instrument wire; it’s just some digital status feedback signals.
Most valve position feedback signals are located in one junction box; in such cases, since there is usually no budget constraint at the site, DJYPVP 2*2*1.5 cables are used. If the valve feedback signals require two separate junction boxes, then 2 DJYPVP 1*2*1.5 cables should be provided for them. The specifications for KVVP are usually 1*2*1.5 or 4*1.5. There isn’t much difference in actual use, as long as it’s not under special operating conditions. If you are the designer, I suggest you get the manufacturer’s cable selection manual. If you are the one carrying out the construction, and supervision and the client are not strict, it’s fine to use alternative cables directly; but if standards are strict, just fill out a material substitution form and get confirmation from the designer for the substitution. .KVVP is an electrical control cable that is typically used in electrical control panels; the wires inside it are not twisted together. Multi-core control cables are usually labeled with numbers such as 1/2/3/4/5/6. DJYPVP is a cable designed for use in split-screen and main-screen configurations, with the wires arranged in pairs. If it is PVP, it refers to a setup with both split-screen and main-screen functions; if it is just P, then there is only a main screen. Each pair of wires inside such cables is wrapped in plastic film, and a colored wire is used to identify which pair it is
RVV refers to flexible PVC-insulated and sheathed cables, where each conductor is of the flexible type; when making connections, it is required that the contractor use compression terminals
Control cables are generally made of KVVP, not KVVR; the other type is power cables
