The adhesive sheets used before contained wires, but some of the current products do not have wires. How can we simply and directly distinguish between industrial antistatic adhesive sheets and anti-static adhesive sheets? What are the similarities and differences in usage?
Antistatic adhesive sheets usually have built-in conductive paths (such as metal wires) that can direct static electricity to the ground, and their surfaces are typically smooth. Antistatic adhesive sheets do not conduct electricity, but they can reduce the accumulation of static electricity; their surface may be a bit rougher. A simple way to distinguish them is by measuring the surface resistance with a multimeter: the resistance value of conductive adhesive sheets is usually low (in the range of 10^4 to 10^6 ohms), while that of anti-static adhesive sheets is higher (in the range of 10^6 to 10^10 ohms). In use, conductive adhesive sheets require proper grounding in order to conduct electricity effectively ; Antistatic adhesive sheets are primarily used to prevent the accumulation of static electricity, and no special grounding is required when using them. When making a choice, it should be based on actual needs and the working environment. .
Aren’t these two the same thing? If there are no wires, then there must be metal particles mixed in or something like that.
