I heard that training is organized every year for the professional exam for registered chemical engineers. I would like to ask those who have already passed this professional exam: is such training useful? Is it necessary to attend?
You can attend the training sessions organized by the surveying association if you have time, but they aren’t very useful; it’s basically like the teacher reviewing the material for you, which is slightly more efficient than studying on your own. However, don’t place too many hopes on them – the teacher himself said that what he covers might not necessarily be included in the exams, and just because something isn’t mentioned by him doesn’t mean it’s not important. The key is still to do practice problems on your own. By the way, last year an agency claimed to be able to guarantee success in the exam, but it was a scam. They said they had internal information and charged high fees; if you look at the number of people who passed the exam last year, it’s clear that they were just trying to scam people out of their money.
