Do those things in the plant area require foam fire extinguishing? How is the required quantity calculated? Are there any standards?
Devices in areas that pose a significant hazard or are located in storage zones, where smothering fire suppression is required, need foam fire extinguishing systems
For example, what kinds of things? Could you give an instance? Things like reactors, towers, heat exchangers – do these not require foam fire extinguishers?
When designing the construction of such facilities, the relevant design institutes provide specific design guidelines for the appropriate safety measures
Reactor vessels generally do not seem to be equipped with foam fire suppression systems; in our plant, foam fire suppression is only available in the methanol storage area, and it is not installed anywhere within the production areas
