When calculating the good rate, it was found that some vortex flowmeters were equipped with both on-site lightning protection grids and ground wires; some others had only ground wires, while the remaining vortex flowmeters had neither lightning protection grids nor ground wires. Instruments that are not within the lightning protection range require a lightning protection grid and must be reliably grounded.
It is generally not necessary, as lightning protection for the entire device should already be taken into account! But grounding is generally recommended to be done! Consider lightning surge protection only if it is a separate instrument, standing alone outside!
