Can it be said that once the load changes, the compressor will no longer operate within its rated power range, and that its power consumption will also change as a result?
The suction pressure should not change much; the main goal is to prevent it from becoming too low, as there is an interlock in place for this purpose. As a result, load adjustment does not cause excessive changes in the load, unless under abnormal operating conditions. Besides, you just adjust the load in order to regulate it. By adjusting the load, we generally mean changing the amount of the slide valve. In reality, except for near 100% load, it is always outside the rated power range. When the load is adjusted, the power definitely changes as well; power and load are related in this way
The rated power corresponds to the rated operating conditions; you can find out the specific parameters for those conditions. The calibration of the equipment’s rated parameters is based on experiments conducted by the manufacturer, and the conditions under which these experiments are carried out are specified. Therefore, it is difficult to operate the equipment under the rated conditions in practice – there are deviations, and various parameters change as well. Specific operating conditions require trial and adjustment. Why go to such lengths to achieve this? ? ? A rated value does not necessarily mean it is the best. In practice, your load also changes; in short, there are many factors that affect the operating conditions. Equipment can only serve these process conditions, and of course it is necessary to achieve the best results at the lowest cost, which leads to the need for adjustments and optimizations for various processes and equipment.
