How is the safety management department structured in general chemical plants?
The Work Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China stipulates as follows: Article 19 Mines, construction enterprises, and entities engaged in the production, operation, or storage of hazardous materials shall establish work safety management institutions or appoint full-time work safety managers. For other production and business entities that are not covered by the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if they have more than 300 employees, they shall establish a safety production management institution or appoint full-time safety production managers ; If the number of employees is 300 or less, the company must appoint full-time or part-time safety management personnel, or entrust engineering and technical personnel with the relevant professional qualifications required to provide safety management services. Where a production and operation entity entrusts engineering and technical personnel to provide safety production management services in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the responsibility for ensuring safety production remains with the entity itself. The Regulations on Work Safety in Hebei Province stipulate as follows: Article 19 Coal mines, non-coal mines with 30 or more employees, construction enterprises, as well as units that produce, operate, or store hazardous materials; and other production and business entities with 300 or more employees must establish specialized departments responsible for work safety management and appoint personnel to handle such matters. Among them, coal mines must have no fewer than five full-time safety management personnel in their safety production management agencies ; Other production and business entities must have no fewer than three full-time safety management personnel in their safety management departments. Non-coal mines, construction companies, and entities engaged in the production, operation, or storage of hazardous materials that employ fewer than thirty people must have at least two full-time safety management personnel. In other production and business units with fewer than 300 employees, it is necessary to appoint full-time or part-time safety management personnel, or entrust engineering and technical personnel with the relevant professional qualifications as specified to provide safety management services.

Generally, safety and environmental protection in chemical plants are integrated. As for the staffing, it depends on the size of the plant; if there are less than 300 employees, there are usually two safety officers and three environmental protection officers. Add a leadership header

Well, it depends on the company’s circumstances. We’re a company with 700 employees, operating on three shifts, and I’m the only safety officer
