A few years ago, China’s major chemical companies launched projects related to polysilicon and photovoltaic power generation, but due to changes in foreign policies, the polysilicon industry entered a period of decline. Now, our country has once again started to pursue research in concentrated solar power generation, with a strong desire to get involved in this field. Thermal power generation is still in its initial stage of development in China, with many technologies currently in the phase of research and experimentation. I hope some experts can explain some aspects of this part for everyone’s reference.
Insulation for the pipes in concentrated solar power generation is very important; otherwise, a large amount of the heat that has been painstakingly collected will be lost during transmission, which affects the efficiency of the entire system. Fortunately, China already has excellent technical solutions for this!
If China’s scientific and technological community and business sector lack innovation of their own, they will simply follow what’s done abroad, while acting as if they’re something special.

Concentrated solar power generation relies on focusing sunlight to produce electricity; there are no reports of such systems being used in China yet, but experiments in Spain have been successful. I have already posted on the forum: scientists use multiple mirrors to focus light onto a single point, thereby generating high temperatures; GPS is used to locate the strongest sources of sunlight, and such solar towers can supply electricity to 5,000 households.
