For the production of compound fertilizers using the amino acid method, if a tubular reactor is employed, with a sulfuric acid concentration of 60%, liquid ammonia is used, and the temperature in the tubular reactor is around 160 degrees, may I ask the experts what material should be used for the tubular reactor to meet these requirements?
PTFE should work fine. Tubular reactors are quite small in size, and their price is in the hundreds of thousands – that’s too expensive. It’s recommended to use buried tube reactors, as they are cheaper
317L should work; it’s cheap and can be used for the purpose. The reaction temperature is a bit low

Stainless steel pipes, with a polytetrafluoroethylene lining in the reaction area; polytetrafluoroethylene is a material with relatively low costs.
Using 904L lined with PTFE, our company is currently using tube inversion for the production of compound fertilizers. The main pipes work fine; as long as production proceeds normally, there are no issues
317L doesn’t work; many people have tried it, and we have tried it as well. The main problem is its short service life – at high reaction temperatures, this material corrodes very quickly.
Polytetrafluoroethylene must be used as a lining inside; otherwise, the stainless steel will be corroded and damaged very quickly
