The employees of the Shandong LNG storage tank project team, whose work was overseen by SEI as the general contractor, overcame various difficulties such as heavy fog, strong winds, and rainy weather; they took proactive action to create the necessary conditions to carry out their tasks. It took only 21 days, from the start of construction on the first set of wall panels to the complete pouring of the wall panels for all 3 tanks by May 12, setting a new record as the fastest construction time for wall panels on LNG storage tanks in China. To ensure the quality of the concrete, pouring is carried out at night, and by the time we return to our accommodation after each task, it is already dawn. The completion of the first belt panel installation for the outer tank has laid a solid foundation for further progress on the project.
Without comparative data, it’s not clear what the size of your storage tank is; different volumes inevitably make comparison difficult. What were the original values for tanks of the same volume, and for which specific items?
I really don’t understand; what’s the use of building at such a fast pace? What do these seemingly good numbers represent? I have been involved in the entire process of LNG storage tank construction, from site selection and environmental impact assessment to pile driving, foundation construction, the outer tank, and the inner tank. Safe production is of utmost importance! The first thing foreigners do when they arrive at the site is to ask about the safety measures!
