Can the switch signal circuit output by the safety gate, powered by a DC 24V supply, be AC 220V? Is it still DC 24V?

Safety barriers have not been used with 220V AC; the DO outputs are generally isolated using relays. From what you’ve described, AC 220V/3A and DC 30V/2A seem to refer to the contact capacity.
You must be referring to an isolated output safety barrier, which can replace relays and facilitate integrated installation. The safety barrier should still be powered by 24VDC; I have never used a safety barrier powered by AC. “The output signal indicates “AC 220V /3A, DC 30 V/2A”, which should refer to the capacity of the output contacts. The current in an AC220V circuit can reach 3A, while the current in a DC30V circuit can reach 2A.

Contact capacity refers to this: if a contact is connected in an AC220V circuit, for example for starting and stopping a motor, then the capacity of that contact is 3A.
