The issue of the number of impeller stages in multi-stage pumps?

The number of impellers corresponds to the number of stages.
There are two methods: 1 is to count the pump casings; the number of casings plus 2 (not necessarily accurate), 2 is to check the equipment’s nameplate, where it usually shows letters and numbers – a number followed by a grade designation (the last digit on the model indicates the grade)

There is one impeller for each pump; some pumps have a pre-inducer wheel, which can also be considered as one stage.
