For a 6.5mp Texaco furnace, what pressure difference between the oxygen pipeline and the furnace is required to achieve good atomization of the burner?
Based on the characteristics of the burners, excessively high burner pressure differences are generally not achievable; our factory uses a value of 0.15~0.2
A high burner pressure difference is beneficial for atomization, but it also increases the wear on the burner, affecting its service life. Texaco specifies a burner pressure difference of 1.2 to 2.4; I think it is more appropriate to keep it around 0.5 Mpa. In our plant, the burner pressure difference at full load in the gasification furnace is around 0.6 Mpa. A too low pressure difference in the burner is certainly not good, as it can cause problems with the roof bricks; on the other hand, if the pressure difference is too high, it exacerbates the erosion of the cone-bottom bricks. Therefore, after years of experience, it has been determined that a value of 0.6 Mpa is appropriate. This requires adjusting the burner gap properly when designing the burner!
This is related to the setting of the pressure measurement points; on which floor are the positive pressure points on the slurry pipeline, and what is the pressure difference compared to the burner?
I don’t understand. The burner pressure difference is a calculated value; does the location of the pressure sensing tube affect the pressure reading?
The so-called burner pressure difference is simply the pressure in the slurry pipeline minus the pressure in the gasifier; the pressure reading for the gasifier is taken at the combustion chamber, while it is taken at the slurry pipeline itself. Naturally, the pressure is higher at the pump outlet, and it is lower on the ninth floor of the gasifier. . . The same principle applies when designing differential pressure gauges; for burner differential pressures, the position of the positive pressure point must definitely be taken into account
