Which method is more effective for distillation – adjusting the bottom temperature by modifying the reboiler at the bottom of the distillation column, or adjusting it by changing the hot and cold feed streams? ? ? Thank you
Personally, I think it would be better to adjust the temperature of the feed material; after all, the feed inlet is located at the top, while the reboiler at the bottom of the tower, so there is a certain delay in response! !
It is better to adjust the temperature at the bottom of the tower; adjusting the feed temperature directly affects the gasification rate of the feed used in the separation process, which in turn influences the material balance within the tower. The fluctuations in the separation tower are relatively large
I think either one will work; it depends on the skill level as well as the performance metrics.
