Our company uses plug valves as discharge valves, and oil and gas leakage was observed during use. The manufacturer guarantees zero leakage of the plug valve under operating conditions of 300 degrees and 6 kilograms of pressure. In terms of sealing mechanism, plug valves are divided into two types: rubber-sealed and metal-sealed. 1. Rubber-sealed type: These can achieve zero leakage, but their temperature tolerance is not very high, usually within 150 degrees; at higher temperatures, the rubber loses its effectiveness； 2. Metal-sealed type: This type of seal is suitable for applications that require high temperature resistance and wear resistance. There is always a leakage rate when using such seals; in other words, leakage does occur and it is allowed. Based on your operating conditions, it is recommended that you use a double-plate valve, as it will yield much better results.
