Distillation acidity issue

Dear friends, recently the acidity level of pure methanol extracted by our company has been above the standard, at around 0.0018. However, the acidity of the methanol sent to the finished product storage area is normal, at around 0.0011. Why is that? The CO2 content in the synthesized fresh gas is controlled at 2%-3%.
What about the pH of crude methanol? Additionally, an excessive amount of alkali can also cause an increase in acidity
The high pH value in our pre-distillation tower is also an old problem; the pH has always been kept between 10 and 11, and the product quality has been good. The acidity issue is something that has only arisen recently.

Measure the prognostic methanol pH value; an appropriate amount more of the extractant (water) can be used.
