What is the difference between a single multi-point thermal resistor and multiple single-point thermal resistors?
I haven’t heard of such a statement; there are only two types of platinum resistance thermometers and one type.
A single multi-point thermal resistor is used to measure the temperature at multiple points. Multiple thermal resistors at a single point are used to measure the temperature of that same point; they are employed in locations where temperature measurement is crucial. By using multiple thermal resistors for simultaneous measurement, comparisons can be made, which helps to avoid inaccurate readings caused by the damage of one of the thermal resistors or other issues.
