【Merger Plan】For the merger of registered safety engineers and registered safety assessment professionals, the measures are as follows: First, reform the examination subjects for registered safety engineers by changing \"safety technology\" to \"safety technology and assessment\", leaving the other subjects unchanged; upon passing the exams, one will obtain the qualification of registered safety engineer (including assessment qualifications). Second, existing registered safety engineers must undergo training before taking the skills assessment for safety assessment professionals, and those who pass can register as professional safety assessors. Existing safety assessment professionals were given a three-year transition period to obtain the professional qualification of registered safety engineer; only after doing so could they continue to work in the field of safety assessment. The pass rate for registered safety engineers prior to 2012 was very high, and the value of such credentials was low; therefore, they are equivalent only to the theoretical examination part of the professional qualification assessment for safety evaluators ； Registered safety engineers who passed the examination before 2012, if they wish to work in safety assessment agencies, need to pass a professional assessment for safety assessment (which may involve attending refresher training every three years and passing an exam as part of that training) ； Upon approval, a safety assessment personnel information card is issued; the level can be applied for as level 2 or level 3 depending on one’s years of experience in safety work (level 1 can only be obtained through promotion). 3. The professional qualification assessment exam for safety evaluators will no longer be held ； For safety assessment personnel, the existing professional qualification certificates combined with the employment information cards enable them to work for safety assessment agencies; employment information cards are issued to such personnel according to their rank ； In other words, the current professional qualification certificate for safety assessors equals a Certified Safety Engineer title plus a registration practice certificate for a safety assessment agency
