As June arrived, I checked the records of activities carried out on Children’s Day, and I was shocked to see that some moderators had already managed things 183 times this month, while I myself had done it nearly 100 times. At first, I thought there was a mistake in the statistics, but after checking the management statistics, I realized that the ‘already read’ and ‘rating’ functions are now also counted as management actions. Since some moderators are used to the functions of marking posts as read and rating them*, there are a high number of management actions being carried out these days, hehe. Support this decision. In the past, many moderators were not very familiar with the read and rating functions, which led to wasted resources and repeated administrative work. As for the actual effects, we’ll have to wait and see after it’s tested for a while – let’s keep an eye on it~
The wage coefficient for our region in June needs to be adjusted. Generally, the management divider is raised only after 7–10 articles have been marked as read. Therefore, I personally estimate that the number of accounts managed by the entire HaiChuan management team will increase exponentially in June (by at least a factor of 3, and this applies to the outstanding moderators in each region). At the very least, in our community, moderators are required to strictly ensure that everything below the dividing line is marked as read. However, it is possible that the polarization in management levels could be quite severe. This issue must be faced.
Improving moderators’ enthusiasm for managing posts has had a positive effect; of course, some people benefited from it while others didn’t get even that much. After all, it’s not easy to get what one wants without putting in effort.
Hehe, I just took a look as well – there are two extra items: one is the rating, and the other is the count of times something has been marked as read. In my opinion, these two items shouldn’t be included in the management metrics. Although they are important, well… for a post with 10 replies, the count of times it’s been marked as read can reach 10, and the rating can also reach 10! ! It can be taken into account as a comprehensive factor for determining the final salary payment, but it should not be used as the ultimate criterion for management by the moderator; otherwise, it will devalue other management metrics! ! Hehe
Rating the users who come to our area to post or reply is a way of showing respect for their efforts and acknowledging the value of their knowledge. Rating and marking messages as read are relatively easier to manage, which is why some friends disagree with this approach. But I believe that rating each reply and indicating that a message has been read shows that doing simple things well on a daily basis is in itself an impressive achievement.
