During the slurry testing in the laboratory, it was found that coal samples that had been ground using a ball mill around October 2011 and then screened were placed in plastic bags with their openings sealed with strings. When these samples were used in June of this year, it was observed that, under identical test conditions, the coal powder that had been stored for longer periods had poorer slurry-forming properties. The reason for this phenomenon is unknown; I would like to ask the experts on this forum whether ground coal powder can oxidize over time What is the degree of oxidation? Thank you!
I’m not sure if it’s well-sealed; if it’s exposed to air for a long time, oxidation will occur and the appearance will change, with the color turning lighter, resembling that of coal. The pulping performance will definitely deteriorate after oxidation.
