I know someone who knows what specific function the speed control system for sending synthesized fresh gas to the turbine serves; please let me know
I really didn’t see what the original poster wanted to say; it seems a bit harsh and confusing. . .
I’m sorry; it’s related to ammonia synthesis. The compressor is of the centrifugal type and is driven by a steam turbine. On the PI diagram, there’s a small amount of fresh gas going to the turbine’s speed control system – I just don’t understand that part, which is why I’m asking for help
OP, did you misread your diagram? The fresh gas used in synthesis is part of the compressor; after being compressed, it mixes with the gas from the circulation stage and then goes to the synthesis tower. The speed control system adjusts the speed of the turbine and the compressor according to the operating conditions. Enable adjustment of conditions such as flow rate and pressure.
