New storage tank: Drain the water, clean out any debris and rust inside, and check the safety equipment. The valves at the bottom are crucial; if there are problems with them, it will be difficult to address them once the tank is in use. Old storage tanks: They need to be disposed of. The associated pipelines should be isolated using blind flanges, the acid should be drained, and the tanks should be cleaned thoroughly, ideally to a neutral state. Safety is of great importance when removing them.
