How are the pilot tests for membrane testing carried out at Dajia Company? I find that there are some differences compared to what’s in the book.

Our company tests a newly acquired membrane in the following manner: at a temperature of 25°C, pH of 8, 2000 ppm of MgSO4, and a pressure of 100 psi (6.9 kg); the retention rate of the membrane is measured at the maximum water flow rate (for example, 50 LPM). The test conditions specified in the supplier’s product manual are as follows: temperature of 25°C, pH of 8, 2000 ppm of MgSO4, 100 psi (6.9 kg), and a 15% recovery rate. The difference between the two is that one is at the maximum water inflow rate, while the other is at a 15% recovery rate. I would like to ask the seniors here: how does your company determine membrane performance? I have just entered this industry, and I hope those with more experience will be kind enough to offer their guidance; I am extremely grateful!
A 15% recovery rate must be ensured. It’s okay if the recovery rate is a bit low. If the recovery rate is high, the desalination percentage of MgSO4 that you measure will be lower than that indicated in the manual.
