Our flue hoods are cooled with low-pressure steam. The device generates a large amount of medium-pressure steam, which the compressor cannot use all of. Theoretically, it is possible to let medium-pressure steam flow into low-pressure systems, but in that case the temperature of the low-pressure steam would be very high. It is not possible to effectively cool the press wheel. I wonder if there’s a better way
Medium pressure is connected to low pressure; a temperature and pressure reducer can be installed! In this way, the temperature of the low-pressure steam can be controlled.
Spraying water into the steam can, if not controlled properly, lead to a large amount of water being carried in the steam, thereby affecting its quality
This post was last edited by liurf1975 on 2012-6-10 09:15: low-pressure steam, with a pressure of 1.0 MPa and a temperature controlled at around 250 degrees! It belongs to low-pressure superheated steam and contains no water. We’re using it now, and there are no problems.
The amount of steam required for wheel cooling is also small; from the perspective of medium-pressure steam consumption, it holds little significance!
I have an idea for you: while controlling the temperature of the smoke extractor wheel, you can periodically increase the steam supply to it (not for too long, 15 minutes at a time). This will help reduce the wheel’s temperature and, more importantly, clean the catalyst on its surface, thereby extending its service life. (When the steam flow is increased, both the displacement and vibration of the smoke extractor increase; this has no impact.)
