The function of the spray water at the syngas outlet of the coal-water slurry gasification furnace is to humidify and remove dust from the syngas, as well as to prevent ash accumulation in the syngas pipelines and thus avoid blockages. If you had to choose one, which would you pick and why? ? ?
By reducing the temperature and increasing humidity, the exit temperature of the raw gas from the Texaco furnace is around 240°C, and the water-gas ratio reaches ~1.4, which corresponds to the water-gas ratio required for ammonia synthesis conversion
It has a humidifying effect, but its main function is to flush the synthetic gas pipeline at the outlet of the gasification furnace, preventing ash accumulation from blocking the pipeline. Of course, the idea is good, but in practical applications, if it is not installed properly, it can easily lead to scouring, corrosion, and wear of the synthetic gas pipeline.
It has two functions: one is to humidify the crude syngas to facilitate dust removal in the Venturi scrubber tower, and the other is to prevent blockages in the pipelines at the outlet of the process gas. Personally, I don’t think it serves only one purpose
