English-Chinese Glossary List for PCS Technology: Polysilicon technology involves intersections from various fields such as metallurgy, semiconductor materials, chemistry, machinery, thermal engineering, and electronics. In foreign polysilicon industries, there are specific terms for many of the specialized concepts used in this field; however, no specialized glossary of terms related to polysilicon has been published in China yet. As a result, industry professionals in China use a lot of Chinese-English combinations when engaging in international cooperation on polysilicon projects, which leads to communication misunderstandings. Through extensive exchanges with foreign colleagues over the past few years, the blogger has compiled a list of specialized English terms used in the polysilicon industry for reference by those working in this field. Due to time constraints, this glossary is released preliminarily; it will be continuously expanded and improved in the future. A: a-Si – amorphous silicon; Amorphous – unstructured, unorganized.
