Is it necessary to install an oil supply station for the motor of the coal grinder? I heard recently that there’s an oil station for the motor of the coal grinder; I don’t understand why
It is a reducer lubricating oil station; you can choose a reducer with built-in self-lubrication, which eliminates the need for a separate lubricating oil station.
Generally, for coal mills that have a lubricating oil station of their own, there is no need to provide a separate oil station for the motor! ~
Oil stations are provided for the purpose of forced lubrication; generally, the decision to use forced lubrication is made based on three factors: the design of the bearings, the load, and the rotational speed
The motor bearings of coal mills are generally bushings, with no lubricant circulation. The main problem at present occurs in hot weather, as the temperature of the bearings at the motor’s exhaust outlet becomes very high, approaching 80 degrees. As a result, some companies are considering switching to oil-based circulation lubrication.
For coal grinding mill motors, some are equipped with ball bearings while others use sliding bearings. Motors with ball bearings certainly do not require an oil supply station; whereas, to enhance the reliability of motors with sliding bearings, an oil lubrication system can be installed. One factory I worked with was like this: before an oil station was installed, the bearing shells of the 4 motors in each unit kept burning out, and maintenance staff had to replace those bearing shells almost on a daily basis, which severely disrupted production. Later, an old oil station was located nearby; they repaired the oil pumps there and connected the bearing shells of the 4 motors using lubrication pipelines to provide forced lubrication, which proved very effective.
