External pressure inclined cones cannot be calculated using SW6-2011; such cones have a flat base that slopes upward at 30 degrees. Design pressure: -0.1 MPa, temperature: 330 degrees, material: Q345R, thickness: 10 mm. Outer diameter: 1200mm, inner diameter: 600mm. Please ask an expert to answer.
It can be calculated; maybe you entered some values incorrectly. It is recommended to try again.
If the input values are α1=30 degrees and α2=0 degrees, an error occurs when clicking calculate; however, if the input values are α1=29 degrees and α2=1 degree, the calculation can be performed successfully. What’s the reason?
The maximum allowable cone angle for a frustum is 30 degrees; any larger angle is not acceptable.
May I ask, is this frustum shell calculated using the seal in the components?
For 150, an internal pressure angle of less than or equal to 30 degrees, and an external pressure angle of less than or equal to 60 degrees are both acceptable. My SW6 can perform the calculations; could it be that your data does not match these angles?
Has the patch for sw6 been applied yet?
Some of the computers in our unit are also experiencing this issue; after downloading the patch from the equipment control center for October 10th, calculations can be performed
