Methanol tanks cannot use atmospheric pressure manholes; then what kind of manhole should be used?
Choose another one from HG21514-21535; a stainless steel manhole will also work
It’s a pressure-rated tank, but it seems that methanol cannot be used with a pressure-rated manhole. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Methanol is an explosive medium; in my opinion, manholes with neck-welded flanges should be used at the very least.
The standards do not require that explosive media preclude the use of atmospheric manholes; atmospheric manholes can be used when the pressure is below 0.07 MPa, so there is no problem.
For explosive media, wafer-type butt-welded flange manholes are generally used; for equipment under normal pressure, wafer-type socket-welded manholes with PN1.0 or 1.6 ratings can be selected.
