Recently, there have been frequent accidents in the industrial park, especially at the factory next to us. At first, the management organized a thorough review across the entire park, and they even deducted wages from workers at our factory as well! This is something that the employees in our factory really don’t understand. We heard that the company where the accident occurred didn’t deduct any money from them. Due to the frequent accidents, people were worried and many left the company. This issue cannot be resolved simply by spending more money, firing certain employees, or turning to superstitious practices. When several individuals form a group, differences among them inevitably lead to some errors, as people have varying levels of quality and capability. Therefore, so-called peace in the world is impossible. Those who are involved in production management, especially those in frontline management positions, understand the deeper implications of this. That is, when minor problems arise in the workshop or department, middle-level managers fail to pay attention to them or exaggerate their significance; on the surface, everything seems fine and peaceful. In reality, however, hidden problems are accumulating. So, this apparent peace means that the middle-level managers in that department are either unaware of the existing problems or downplay their severity, and that is very concerning.
