One phase of the isolation switch in the capacitor compensation cabinet is overheating; the voltages across the three phases are balanced, and the currents across the three phases are also balanced. Could anyone help analyze the possible causes?
It's mainly due to poor contact. Overheating can occur if the contact quality between the moving and stationary contacts, between the moving and stationary contacts and the connection brackets, and between the connection wires and terminals is not good.

All the external connection bolts have been checked and none of them are loose; it’s likely that the poor contact between the moving and stationary contacts is the cause. This can be confirmed once it’s taken apart and inspected. But I have two compensation cabinets here, and both are overheating in Phase A. Is it really that coincidental? I’m a bit confused.

The contact surfaces of the moving and stationary contacts were abraded; they were polished smooth with sandpaper to increase the contact area and thus boost the current-carrying capacity.
