A high dry distillation point indicates that: (1) there is a large amount of steam, causing the heavier components to rise; therefore, the extraction volume and the amount of steam used should be reduced. (2) The backflow rate is low, causing the heavier components to rise; the backflow rate should be increased. (3) The processing volume is high; the separation efficiency of the tower is poor, there is foam entrainment, and the heavier components rise upward, so the processing volume should be reduced.
