Convex-concave flange problem

How are corrugated flanges connected? For a pair, is one convex and the other concave? How is a concave surface represented? F or MF? I’m a bit confused about this question. Seeking advice
It should be convex (M), concave (FM).

It must be noted that X should be smaller than Y, and f2 should be larger than f3; only in this way can the convex sealing surface fit into the concave recess, ensuring a leak-free seal
