I’ve never heard of a digital dual-metal thermometer before; if such a thing exists, its sensing element remains the same. If it’s different, then it can’t be called a dual-metal thermometer.
The original poster has somewhat misunderstood the purpose of bimetallic thermometers. Both bimetallic thermometers and pressure gauges are designed to enable operators to easily observe and refer to information on site; there’s no need to make things so complicated.
Bimetallics are easy to install at temperature and are inexpensive as a result. No power supply is required. The basic requirements can be met!
