What is the concentration of your concentrated sulfuric acid? Is it waste acid that needs to be disposed of? Should the acid be diluted and used as a treatment agent instead?

How much sulfuric acid needs to be diluted at a time? To what acidity level should it be diluted?
The CLO2 generator used in our factory is equipped with a sulfuric acid diluter; it consists of a sulfuric acid tube and a water tube for dilution, both of which lead into a dilution container that is cooled by a water jacket. Both sulfuric acid and water are fed in using metering pumps, which allows for an accurate calculation of the concentration of the diluted sulfuric acid.

This post was last edited by hesonchang214 on 2012-7-26 at 17:32. Using sulfuric acid with a too high concentration is generally unsafe, and it is difficult to control such concentrations; it’s best to be able to regulate the concentration of sulfuric acid!
The issue can be resolved by diluting the cooler with sulfuric acid; at the same time, concentrated sulfuric acid and water are fed in at a certain flow ratio. The heat generated by the dilution is transferred through indirect heat exchange with cooling water, and this can be done using just one piece of equipment – it’s very simple.
