I am planning to design a new packing for a washing tower, and I hope experts can advise me on how to proceed and what parameters are required Are there any books and materials you can share? Thank you.

There’s definitely something you need in books on chemical engineering equipment. I remember discussing packing materials when I was in college; over time, many different types of them have been developed~~~
You can ask the tank internals manufacturer to design it for you; they have professional designers there. You just need to give him the design data for the tower.
