I’d like some help regarding common phenomena with thermocouples

Two of the thermocouple wires have melted, or the insulation around the wires is damaged, resulting in a short circuit and a low thermoelectrical potential. 3. The positive and negative terminals were connected incorrectly during wiring. 4. The cold-junction temperature compensation is not appropriate. 5. The wrong type of compensation wire was used. 6. Excessive dust or oxidation of the terminals causes poor contact. . .

Floor 2 provides a comprehensive overview. Points 3, 4, and 5 generally refer to faults that occur at the beginning of operation. As for the faults I’ve encountered during normal operation, they are listed in order of frequency as follows: 6, 2, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6. These faults occur almost every day; the reasons for this include environmental factors as well as inadequate maintenance. 2 is usually caused by water entering the cable tray or high ambient temperatures, while 1 is generally due to abnormal production processes or operational errors; of course, in a few cases it may also be caused by inappropriate design choices
