What is a good medium for pump flushing fluid? Which specific parameters are used for measurement? Is it true that the higher the viscosity, the better?
The flushing fluid should be a liquid that allows the mixing of media; it generally does not need to have a high viscosity, and its temperature should not be too high.
For self-flushing, it is of course the medium itself that is pumped. Other medium fluids are used for cyclic flushing and injection flushing. Requirements: 1. The flushing fluid selected must be compatible with the medium transported by the pump, must not affect the quality of that medium, and must not cause vacuum conditions or cavitation in the pump ； 2. The flushing fluid is clean and non-corrosive, with good lubricating properties and thermal conductivity ； 3. Low price. The specific medium to be used as the flushing fluid should be chosen flexibly based on the particular conditions. It’s not the case that the higher the viscosity, the better; when liquid friction and mixed friction occur between the frictioning surfaces, the sealing leakage rate is proportional to the viscosity.
