I used Hysys to perform material balance calculations, but I’m not sure how to export this data. Copying it one by one is too troublesome; does anyone have a good method for this?
Install the spreadsheet using a databook or just as you would an installation unit； It’s best to figure out all the output variables you need, set them up in a spreadsheet, run several different cases, and then copy & paste or export all the results together.
To output parameters such as temperature, pressure, mass flow rate, volume flow rate, gas phase fraction, composition, etc., there are many materials involved and thus many output variables; setting each one in a spreadsheet is quite cumbersome. Is there a simpler way?
Check if your HYSYS has an interface file for Excel (which contains pre-written macros). If it does, you’ll also need to spend time learning how to use it. The simplest way is Copy & Paste, as you mentioned. Using the case studies in the databook, it only takes a little effort at the beginning – just one copy & paste and it’s done.
